About Grace & Grit

ABOUT ANNA & GRACE & GRIT

I’m Anna — a Registered Nurse offering specialised paramedical and cosmetic tattooing, with a focus on care, safety, and respect for the skin. My work is grounded in clinical experience and a deep belief in gentle, thoughtful care and artistry.

OUR ORIGIN

Grace & Grit began with a simple idea:
That care should feel safe.
That healing should feel human.
And that bodies deserve to be treated with dignity.

Before tattooing, there was nursing.

I spent years supporting people through surgery, illness, recovery, and transformation. I witnessed the vulnerability that comes with physical change — not just the medical aspects, but the emotional and identity shifts that accompany it. I saw how deeply the body and sense of self are intertwined, and how easily someone can feel disconnected from themselves after trauma, surgery, or illness.

I also saw the power of quiet, skilled, compassionate care.

Not rushed care.

Not transactional care.

Not clinical care that forgets the person.

But care that listens.
Care that respects.
Care that understands that healing is not only physical.

A HOME-BASED BEACHSIDE RETREAT

Grace & Grit is a home-based, beachside studio — a calm, relaxing space designed as a retreat rather than a clinical environment. Post-mastectomy clients and anyone seeking restorative tattooing deserve a place that feels safe, peaceful, and restorative. Here, you are not just a patient or a client — you are a person whose journey, body, and story are honoured.

The name Grace & Grit reflects the two qualities I see most often in the people I work with:

  • Grace — in vulnerability, resilience, and healing.

  • Grit — in survival, strength, and courage through change.

Grace & Grit exists to offer restorative tattooing that feels safe, respectful, and deeply human.
