3. The Day Before

4. Day of Appointment
Arrive with:
A clean face but you may wear your usual brow makeup so your artist can see the shape, colour, and style you’re accustomed to. If you usually have your brows tinted, we recommend having them tinted prior to coming in so we can match your tattoo to your preferred colour (1 week for standard tint and 2.5 weeks for henna).
For health, safety, and insurance reasons, only the client is allowed in the treatment room.
Please avoid chewing gum during the procedure.
Ensure your phone is on silent.
Dark clothing is recommended due to the use of pigments.
No moisturiser or sunscreen on the brow area
Avoid caffeine the morning of your appointment to reduce sensitivity.
POST-CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Healing Timeline (Approx. 7–14 Days)
Your brows will go through several stages: darker colour, flaking, lightness/patchiness, and gradual settling. Full healed colour appears around 4–6 weeks.
The “Ghosting Period” Explained
Around days 5–14, many clients notice their brows look very light, patchy, or even seem to disappear. This is completely normal and temporary.
Why it happens:
As the skin heals and regenerates, a thin layer of new skin forms over the pigment.
This new skin can make the colour look soft, milky, or faded (“ghosted”).
Once the skin fully settles and clarifies, the pigment becomes visible again.
This period typically resolves by weeks 3–4. Final colour and shape are evaluated at your 6 week touch-up.
1. Immediately After Appointment
Mild redness or sensitivity is normal.
Blot brows every 10–15 minutes for the first hour to remove excess lymph fluid.
Apply a thin layer of aftercare ointment after blotting and then 4 times daily for the first week.
2. First 7–10 Days
Cleaning
Clean twice daily with lukewarm water or a gentle, fragrance-free cleanser.
Pat dry—do not rub.
Moisturising
Apply a very thin layer of the recommended aftercare ointment.
Do not over-apply—brows need airflow to heal properly.
Avoid:
Touching, picking, scratching, or removing flakes
Direct water on brows in the shower
Makeup, sunscreen, or skincare on the brow area
Sweating, gym workouts, saunas, or steam
Swimming or submerging brows
Sleeping on your face
Sun exposure or tanning beds
3. Days 10–14
Most flaking should be complete.
Brows may look light or patchy (“ghosting”) but will continue to settle.
Resume gentle skincare around the area but continue avoiding retinols/exfoliants on the brows until after 4 weeks.
4. Long-Term Care
Apply sunscreen to healed brows to prevent fading.
Avoid exfoliating acids, retinols, or resurfacing treatments directly on the brows.
A color boost is recommended every 12–24 months.
What to Expect
Normal:
Redness, swelling, tightness
Darker color for 2–4 days
Flaking or peeling
Temporary lightness or “ghosting” period
Contact your artist or a medical professional if you experience:
Excessive swelling
Pus, intense redness, or signs of infection
Severe allergic reaction

You have any moles through your brows, we are unable to tattoo over moles and will require a doctor's note to proceed with your treatment.
You are currently taking medication for acne - Oratane or similar (You must have been off it for at least 6 months).
Botox should be carried out at least 6 weeks before your treatment and no sooner than 3 weeks after your follow up appointment as it can alter the way your cosmetic tattoo sits.
Chemical peels should be carried out at least 60 days before your appointment and no sooner than 60 days after the procedure, always avoid the tattooed area. If you do frequent facial peels, your cosmetic tattooing has a higher chance of fading.
